Holly Jolly Heroes is a holiday campaign designed to give back to the men and women in our community who put their lives on the line every day – first responders.

What made you think of Holly Jolly Heroes?

Every so often on my drive home, I see law enforcement officers and EMTs eating a meal at a restaurant by my house and think to myself, “I’d really like to pay for their food.” The cost to do that would add up, so I began to think of ways to get other people involved.

Every day, the men and women of law enforcement, fire departments and EMTs put their lives on the line for their community. I won’t ever be able to repay them for that, but what I can do it simple — show them gratitude and appreciation for what they do.

Christmas is the time of year where I always think about ways I can give back. I started Operation Holly Jolly Heroes to do just that. Through your donations and volunteerism, you can help me spread our heartfelt thanks every Christmas.

How did you come up with the name?

I LOVE Christmas and especially Christmas music. “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” is one of my favorites, so when I thought about a name for this campaign, I wanted to incorporate the holidays and first responders = Holly Jolly Heroes (police, fire and EMT).
